Bicycle riding. How can it compete with the more exciting, romantic sports in the exercise genre? Generally it’s not an adrenalin spewing, super risky gig like jumping off stuff and swimming under twenty five foot of water among sharks and other dangerous denizens of the deep. But since I was the age of some of my youngest grandson’s, I’ve been addicted to it. I did have a thirty five year hiatus starting in the fifties when it was practically unAmerican and definitely ‘not in’ to not have a love affair with cars. But I got back to riding in my early fifties and have never looked back, except to see how close the car(s) behind me is following. Through cycling God has blessed me and Linda with some wonderful friends, definitely better health, travel all over the place and fancy spandex riding clothes which make me feel like King Kong on a bike. The picture on right is me and Paul Brown, a bike rider/builder extrodinaire. We were half way through the California Tour of the Unknown Coast in 2003. Don’t let the smiles fool you. The pain was just around the corner. 100 miles, 10,000 foot climb that day!

Chuck That was a beautiful tribute to Irene and to Bud… Irene was a beautiful person.. I plan to attend the Rosary so I can find her son and tell him what a zest for Life his mother has always had and how beautiful we all thought she was… I think it is important to share that with her family so hopefully I can accomplish that… BLessings to you, your family and your Ministry and Blog… Linda
